Our Life should be a Praise

Romans 12:1 admonishes us that our life should be a “living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God.” Therefore, everything that we do, say, or think should reflect the influence of God in our lives. It should be clear to all that we follow Jesus, his Son.

The lost souls should be seeking us out to help them find the Lord so that they can have a relationship with him. When they come to us, we should be prepared to help them. Our Christ-like attitude should be evident in our speech and in our actions.

It means that we have to prepare ourselves each and every day to be able to hear the Lord’s voice and to follow his leading. If we miss his leading or fail to do what he is asking us to do, we miss out on opportunities and blessings.

There are so many opportunities to help those who are struggling with life’s problems and for whatever reason, have not found a solution. You do not necessarily have to be out in the mission field. If you are confined to the house and are spending time in the social networks, be aware of what people are discussing and look for signs that there is trouble. We are members of networks where we can find prayer from others to help with our problems, thank God!

There are postings of up to date news developments so that we can pray from a distance for others who are struggling or do not have others around them to pray for them. This could be a ministry for someone who is looking for opportunities to serve the Lord. Jesus told the disciples. “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless ad doves.”

When we encounter a situation where someone needs help, we should take advantage of the opportunity to serve God by offering help. If we cannot do anything physically or if the situation poses some sort of danger, we can pray about it. God has given us gifts and talents and it is up to us to use them. We all have the same opportunities to serve God, if we take advantage of them.
